Concussion Resources

Concussions are a brain injury caused by a direct blow to the head, face, neck or elsewhere on the body that jars your head. It is important that coaches, parents/guardians and athletes are able to recognize the signs and symptoms of a concussion, and understand how to appropriately respond and manage the injury to ensure the safety of the athlete.

Parachute and CATT (Concussion Awareness Training Tool) are two Canadian organizations that are dedicated to providing accessible concussion education using the most recent, evidence-based information.

It is Important to have resources for when a suspected concussion is sustained by an athletes, these resources are useful in the recognition, reporting of a concussion* and the return to sport or school strategies:
