Coaches Assignments


Coaches Assignments for 2022-2023

Speed Skating Alberta is now recruiting volunteer coaches and managers for the 2022-023 season. Assignments are dependent upon provincial and national competition schedules which may be impacted by COVID-19 pandemic restrictions in various jurisdictions. We will inform confirmed event coaches and clubs as soon as we receive information about events.
SSA Coaches Application Form 2022-23
  • Submit completed applications to technicaldirector@aassa.ca by: August 26, 2022
  • Successful applicants will be notified by the Skater Development Committee by September 2nd, 2022 (based on a minimum quota of skaters, per SSC guidelines)
  • Once final skater numbers are confirmed by SSC 14 days prior to the event, additional coaches may be added.

The 2022/23 season events we are currently recruiting for are:

1) Canadian Youth Long Track Championships, February 4-5, 2023

  • Location: Fort St. John, British Columbia
  • Positions: Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Coach / Manager
  • You should also indicate whether or not you can attend Friday, February 3rd training

2) Canadian Youth Short Track Championships - West, March 25-26, 2023

  • Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
  • Positions: Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Coach / Manager
  • You should also indicate whether or not you can attend Friday, March 24th training
