The Edmonton Speed Skating Association is looking forward to making some awesome racing ice and welcoming you to the Long Track Winter Classic on Saturday, December 15th!

Plan to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and fresh air of Victoria Park Oval in Edmonton's river valley for this great meet (with great indoor warm-up facilities at oval-side!).

Sanction: AASSA

Entry Fee: $40.00 for all skaters; each club is to submit one cheque payable to ESSA.

Entry Deadline:  Friday, December 7th, midnight.

Format:  All Divisions

Mixed age class and gender - Ability

Distances will be MASS START and Olympic Style    

All welcome to participate in our

1st annual Richard Roberts Memorial 5k (Saturday after the races)

Seed Times:  Short Track times and will only need to provide times if they have not raced this year.  We will use the AASSA database.                            

Registration:                7:30 am – 8:00 am at the Edmonton’s Victoria Park Oval

Coaches Meeting:        8:30 am Saturday Edmonton’s Victoria Park Oval

Warm – Ups:                8:00 – 8:30a.m. (Warm Up Track Only)

Races Start:                 9:00 am or earlier if numbers warrant – Final schedule will be sent to all registrars or coaches

Safety Equipment        SSC Rules D3-100 (Mass Start) will be enforced.

On-Site Food               Food will be provided for all volunteers, coaches and officials.

Sunday, December 17th – Kick-Off to the Long Track Season Camp

Mike Marshall will again be providing a long track technical camp.

Target group T2T and up.  Adult and focused L2Ts welcome!

Sunday 9 am to 3 pm (approx.)  lunch included.  $40 each skater

Coaches/Registrars:    To register for the LT camp, please indicate on the Club Summary

Cheque for camp is payable to ESSA (can be combined with meet entry fees)
